The roller-coaster ride continues...... after early yesterday's good news, last night and this morning were a real downer. Terre's excellent fighting skills and reflex exhibitions of Thursday were today over-shadowed by bad numbers on some of his diagnostics last night and this morning. Oxygen levels in the blood were lower and pressure in the injured areas higher than Doctors would like to see at this point. This was not good news and in the words of those in charge of his care, this was not a good day for Terre.
Things did make a bit of a turn for the better around mid-day, as Jill reported that Terre's readings were improving to 'sustainable' numbers although not ideal. Brother Brent, "Filo" as many know him, reported that although Doc's and nurses would prefer to sedate Terre to a level where the machine's would breathe for him, Big T just wont give in. Although they've administered enough drugs to tranquilize an elephant, our Terr-Bear doesn't want to give up breathing on his own and I think that's a pretty good sign.
We are all doing our best to stay focused on the good assessments that come down the pike but everyone should know that tomorrow, Saturday, may be THE biggest test yet. The out-pouring and support of friends and family is just amazing to all who've met Terre, but not that surprising to many who've been fortunate enough to call him a friend for a while.
Keep on praying, hoping and sending positive vibes his way and please don't be bashful about sharing photos that you want on the website by sending them to me at pootmcfly@hotmail.com
