We are encouraged upon our return that Terre's condition over the last three days seems to be stable and somewhat still on the rise. The condition of his lungs, oxygen levels and pressure seems to be sustainable and improved slightly over last weeks rollercoaster ride.
I just talked to Jill and everyone seems to be understanding better, that this is still a long road and small blips on the screen do not a graph make. Caregivers seem comfortable with how well his lungs have cleared up and this should provide for stable improvements over the coming recovery. Doctor's are still hesitant to make timetable projections but the tone in Jill's voice tells me that there is plenty to be thankful for in the stability of Terre's condition.

Glad to see the progress. Never have I seen patients take "2 steps " forward everytime. I have even had patients in similar situations walk back intothe hospital and thank me for the care that I gave them when I never even knew that they would remember me. Terre seems like a fighter and I believe that plays a big role in his recovery. I also believe that he hears what is being said at the bedside so never hold back in insisting that the conversation around his bed is positive. I have never met Terre but Melissa in SC is one of my closest friends so I too feel the effects. You guys are in my everyday thoughts and prayers. MV
ReplyDeleteAnd special thanks to you, Poot. You are a freakin' rock star of a friend. Putting together the benefit concert, getting Terre's jobs finished, setting up this site, setting up the paypal account, being there for the family, and the list goes on and on. Crazy karma points for you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the Brooks family, I want to thank you all for your continued support and prayers for Terre. We are grateful for your generosity, support and concern for Terre and Jill. We are thankful that even in the middle of this storm we feel Gods presence and rest in the fact that God is in control and holds Terre's life in his hands. A huge thank you to you all.
