Terre graduates from ICU.........Yeay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So yesterday they rolled the Big Cut down the hall and into the elevator to move him to a different floor. Again just great news! It's much less stressful there and indicative of the progress and stability Terre has made. Additionally the energy of the visitor's is often much more optimistic and less exhausting.

I entered his new room, guitar in hand, and spoke to Terre while his eyes where barely open. He kinda leaned up, furrowed his brow to focus and smiled at me .................. really amazing!!! I then sang a few verses of Jamey Johnson's "In Color" ( the first song I think that Terre has ever performed on the guitar in public) before the respiratory therapist came in to check on his trach. Terre is now hooked up to NO machines for his breathing and his gaze is still improving even though , as the 'Stroke of Insight ' book says, he does tire of most things pretty quickly.

Perhaps the most poignant event occured just before my arrival yesterday as Jill was talking to Terre at his bedside. Without being prompted Terre slowly reached up with his shaky left hand and gently touched Jill's cheek, pretty cool. Thanks Terr for easin on back to us
