Just got this baby up-and-running so here goes.

On Tuesday afternoon May 26th Terre was painting and fell off a 10-12' roof. Good friend and co-worker CJ Austin called 911 and after ER Doctor's assessment in Jackson, WY, Terre was flown to Eastern Idaho Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Immediately Doctor's operated and began implementing a multitude of evaluative techniques and gadgetry. The level of attention being paid to Terre's condition was immediately impressive and comforting to Jill, family and friends.

We've also been encouraged by how closely Terre's condition has followed the original Doctors assessment. Every few hours are touch-and-go though and Doctors are hesitant to make optimistic forcasts.

Wednesday was up and down but by wednesday afternoon Terre's condition seemed stable for what he had gone through.

Thursday Doctor's informed us that the next few days would be the scarriest as additional swelling from surgery and the injury presents dangers yet to be seen. Terre IS a fighter as we all know and today he not only wiggled his fingers, a good sign according to one of the staff, but he also tried to remove his breathing tube and tried to get out of bed at one point.

This was very encouraging news! So now he not only has moved arms, legs and fingers but also, for brief times, has possessed the cognizance to fight what makes him uncomfortable.

Thursday night the Doctors informed the family that, although those are good signs, the swelling continues to be a cause of great concern and is expected to worsen before it gets better. We are all still hopeful, prayerful and trying to stay focused on the positive energy that Terre has shared with all of us and send a whole lot back.

Doctor's hope to keep Terre asleep/sedated through Sunday when more of his condition can be evaluated. This will also allow time for Terre's strength to aid in healing.

  7. Terre, I remember you saying something while I was in my coma last year about fighting like hell! Hearing you too pulled your ventilator tube out made my day! That's when my doctor's knew I was a hell of a lot tougher than what was going on in my body as well. I feel the same for you so keep 'em on thier toes there in the hospital and bring this thing full circle!
